Entering their 18th and 32nd seasons respectively, Coach Brey and Coach McGraw return to Atlanta with their Fighting Irish basketball teams. While the Men’s team enters year two of its rebuilding program, the Women’s team has its sights set on a third National Championship!

Women’s Basketball

Under Coach McGraw's stewardship, Notre Dame has won two National Championships (2001, 2018) and reached the Final Four nine times (1997, 2001, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2019), which currently ranks 5th all time in NCAA history.

Notre Dame has made it to the Sweet Sixteen in each of the last ten seasons (2010–19), has won 20 or more games in 24 of the past 25 seasons, and has won 30 or more games in eight consecutive seasons (2011–19).

The Irish have made 26 NCAA tournament appearances as of the end of the 2018–19 season, including a current streak of 24 appearances.

 
 
 

Rivalry Highlights

3/12/2019: Notre Dame scored a season-high 52 points in the first half, but had to hold on late to get the 78-71 victory over Georgia Tech. Notre Dame was on a roll in the first half, but a back injury to freshman Nate Laszewski left them short-handed in the second half.

2/10/2019: Notre Dame got the 69-59 home win over Georgia Tech. Notre Dame's 20 offensive rebounds and 20 second-chance points made a real difference in a game where the Fighting Irish were trailing at halftime. TJ Gibbs scored 20 points and dished 5 assists to lead the Irish in both categories.

1/22/2019: The Yellow Jackets got their third ACC win of the season defeating Notre Dame, 63-61. James Banks III registered a double-double with 16 pts and 10 rebounds for Georgia Tech. John Mooney also got a double-double for the Irish with 22 points and 14 rebounds.
