The Notre Dame Senior Alumni Group, composed of alumni and friends ages 60 and over, aims to help senior members of the Notre Dame community engage in programming that fosters friendships, camaraderie, and service to each other and surrounding communities.
Senior Alumni of Atlanta
Organizing faith and social events for and by Senior Alumni. The Senior Alumni Chair should to assist the Club leadership in mobilizing local senior participation. Some, or all, of the characteristics listed below could describe the Senior Alumni Coordinator position:
A recognized, prominent Club position: designated by the Club’s Board, serves as an active member of the Club’s Board of Directors, ensures inclusion of a senior perspective in Club management. A respected leader and motivator in the Club and the local community, the individual would most likely, but not necessarily, be at least 60 years old.
A person dedicated to working with other Board Members, the Club President, and the Club Membership Chairman to identify and reintroduce seniors to their Club, encouraging their active membership and participation.
An organizer and sponsor of Club activities ranging from administration to camaraderie to Catholic Spirituality that will be of interest and challenging to Club seniors
A promoter for national NDSA and local Club Initiatives
A person to seek out and identify local Notre Dame Alumni currently involved in effective volunteer activities which could be expanded to include participation by Club members, especially other seniors
A participant at Club Board Meetings, and possibly at AA Board Regional Meetings and the Annual Senate
A resource for the needs of seniors in the Club area (advice, condolence, etc.)
